ANIMALS
A DOCUMENTARY SCRIPT
Author’s note
Over the last decade, I spent my days interviewing all kinds of animals. Cetaceans, felines, amphibians, among many others, shared with me their most profound memories and thoughts on the coexistence with humans on this planet we all live on. Some were difficult to track down, some happened in the most unexpected places, and some, fortunately, were just instants that changed my life.
The compilation of these interviews is an attempt to bring together all the unheard voices under one documentary. This is the Blue Pearl, an invitation from animals to humans to rethink the co-creation of our home.
THE BLUE PEARL II
CONVERSATION WITH A LADYBUG
A ladybug came to visit me and stayed at my fingertips. I had always wanted to know why some people call it like that, but I did not have time to ask because she spoke first:

‘Write down,’ she said.

Interviewer: What do you mean?
There was a moment of complete silence. Another elephant approached, and both elephants started caressing their giant bodies before the first elephant continued talking…

INTERVIEW TO A DOLPHIN
Interviewer: Hi
The dolphin smiles. He seems happy. Cheerful is the best word to describe him. He says hi with his eyes and his smile.
Interviewer: Where do you come from?
Now he speaks with a very thin and loving voice, like a kid.
Dolphin: That is a wonderful question. For a very long time humans weren’t ready to know or wonder where we come from. There is so much for you to learn about cetaceans. Human science is prompt to learn and soon every human on the Blue Pearl will start to feel more attracted and connected to cetaceans.
