CONVERSATION WITH A LADYBUG

A ladybug came to visit me and stayed at my fingertips. I had always wanted to know why some people call it like that, but I did not have time to ask because she spoke first:

‘I have a message for you,’ she said.

I was not surprised to hear an insect speak. What surprised me was the way she did it. She was agitated. Her gestures were nervous as if she wanted to say everything she knew quickly, afraid of forgetting everything.

I answered in silence. I looked at the ladybug with the deepest part of my eyes.

‘Write down,’ she said. 

So I opened my book and did not hesitate at any moment. She came down my arm, a little hastily, till she reached the white page. She wanted to be sure that the message would get through. 

‘Tomorrow, when you wake up, just before you open your eyes, you will find a box. Visualize it and open it carefully, because inside there will be everything you ask for. I have already put them inside.’

At that moment, her breathing became more neutral. She seemed at ease. 

I thanked her for her dedication and mainly for the gift, but I couldn’t help asking her why she was so tired.

‘I’m near the end, and today is my last day on Earth. Ever since I arrived, I always knew this was going to be a difficult year. This was my last task.’

As she was talking, she climbed up to a corner of my face searching for somewhere to rest.

After a long pause, I asked her if she had borne a lot of responsibility carrying and bringing Everyone’s wishes all the time.

And with a sigh, like those that one makes when accomplishing something, she said:

‘On the contrary. There are so many of you, human beings, that believe that I give good luck that I finally end up having it. It is all thanks to you.’

Without saying anything else, she began to move along the sides of my clothes. I smiled for the joy that creates an accomplished Purpose on Earth.

And I saw her leave the way things that have to go do, and the way things that have to arrive do: with Love.
